September has flown by and I am still deep in writing my novel. The first draft is so close to being finished that I am anxious to keep writing. I’ve set a tentative goal to have written 90k words (a finished draft) by Halloween – ohh spooky – and I am on track! Here’s a tiktok video I made as a little come write with me when the rain was thrashing against the windows and autumn had knocked on my door.
The more I write the more I cannot wait to find a UK literary agent and publisher to bring this story to the world. This a story that I craved growing up and even as an adult. As someone who struggled to read growing up with dyslexia, I want to create a story that will help readers feel understood, immersed and most importantly tell a story that I’ve always desired to be written. It is a novel of daring sea exploration and diving under the waves of the thrashing sea to discover one’s self and change the course of their life. To no longer be destiny’s puppet and realise that control was never out of reach – one just needs to open their eyes and look at life at a different angle.
